Family Portrait Sessions in Europe

Rebecca photographs families in Europe seasonally each year. If your family will be holidaying, or are based in Europe and would like to plan a portrait session, please get in touch. Cities are chosen each year to coordinate with the most requests, but generally rotate between Paris, London, Dublin, Berlin, Amsterdam, Provence, and Italy.

No other city in the world inspires such romance — explore the streets of Montmartre, or skip in front of the Eiffel tower at dawn. Frolic by the fountain in Luxembourg Gardens, or explore the Palace of Versailles during your Parisian family portrait session.

Storybook Family Photography in Dublin

Race along cliff paths of Howth, overlooking the Irish Sea, or wander the sweeping grounds of Malahide Castle. Roam the open fields of Phoenix Park, or explore a secret greenhouse in the National Botanic Gardens. The children can search for fairy folk, and you’ll grab a pint afterwards, of course...

Rebecca’s European portrait sessions are child-focused, with a directed candid approach: you will never have to worry about what to do, where to go, or posing yourself or the children. Rebecca will guide you as she captures both posed and candid family portraits.

F.A.Q.'s

Where do family photography sessions take place in Europe?
Rebecca books both multi-session trips and single commissions in Europe. Multi-session trip destinations are decided by request, aiming to accommodate as many families as possible. Single commissions can be booked to any destination of your choice, so that Rebecca can meet you at your holiday destination each year.

Does Rebecca photograph families outside Europe?
Yes. Rebecca photographs families throughout Canada and also in Hong Kong. Other locations are possible by single commission.

How long does a family photography session last?
Rebecca's sessions are about 50-70 minutes long.

What time of day is a family session?
Start times are flexible in order to choose the best happy medium between when your child/ren are happiest, and when the light is most magical.

Generally this will fall within the three hour window before sunset or after sunrise, but the best time to photograph in cities or busy tourist destinations is almost always early morning.

What if I don't get a spot?
If sessions are filled for the current calendar year, you can ask to be put on a waitlist in case of any postponements, and given booking priority for the following year. Please get in touch as soon as you know your travel plans, to be added to the requests for the year.
