I very nearly didn’t share these portraits as a gallery, as there are so many technical flaws when compared to my usual work (heavy grain, improper focus, not perfectly exposed)! But there is just something about them, and I wanted them to have a little place in my portfolio. These aren’t from a portrait session, but taken very casually whilst walking and chatting with dear friends in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin.
I only brought my film camera with me, so as not to use my digital camera as a crutch, and it was such an interesting experiment! There was a lot more imperfection, but I feel like that adds a certain charm. I hope you like them, too.
