I’ve photographed this lovely family a few times before in Hong Kong, where they live– but was so delighted this year to be able to meet them in their second home of Amsterdam, where they holiday every summer to spend time with their Dutch family. Zaanse Schans is a quaint historic town in Amsterdam, where windmills still turn, wooden shoes are carved, and the smell of roasting cocoa beans fills the air. My own heritage on both sides of my family is Dutch (my maiden name is de Jong!), so the Netherlands is such a special place for me to be able to visit.
Het is leuk, ya?
