Our first photoshoot with all of our children! Peter is our last baby, and so these family photos are maybe our most precious yet. We had to shoot a little earlier in the evening than I usually like to, because at only four months old, after about 6/6:30pm the baby is a wild card.
Biggest thank you to Gillian Stevens for capturing our family of six, and gracefully and patiently going along with all the craziness that comes along with herding four small and excited children. ;)
about the session: being in front of the camera
I find it so helpful to be in front of the camera myself once a year with Adam and our kids– it reminds me about the stress of choosing outfits, the bustle of getting ready and out the door, trying to make sure the little one naps well that day…. the list goes on! When I meet my families at sessions, I truly understand all the effort it takes to get there. Having family photos of my own also reminds me of how precious and important they are, so that I’m always pushing to photograph families in an ever more meaningful way.
