There’s no better time to capture family photographs than while visiting Vancouver, one of the most beautiful places in the world.

You’ll plan your session with Rebecca over the telephone, and a professional hair and makeup artist can be arranged to style you at your Vancouver hotel or holiday address. When you arrive home, you’ll select your favourite portraits online, and your handcrafted portrait album will be shipped to you anywhere in the world.

F.A.Q.'s

Where do family photography sessions take place in Vancouver?
You'll receive a list of Rebecca's favourites, and a gallery of example photos taken at those Vancouver spots while you're planning your session. A few favourites include Stanley Park, Jericho Beach, and VanDusen Botanical Gardens.

Do you photograph families outside Vancouver?
Yes. Rebecca photographs families throughout Greater Vancouver and photographs a number of international commissions each year, including seasonal sessions in Hong Kong and Europe.

When is the best time of year for family photos in Vancouver?
The most popular time for family photography in Vancouver is between June and September, when the city’s beaches, parks, and gardens are at their most beautiful. September is particularly recommended for families with younger children, due to an earlier sunset.

How long does a family photography session last?
Rebecca's sessions are about 50-70 minutes long.

What time of day is a family session?
Start times are flexible in order to choose the best happy medium between when your child/ren are happiest, and when the light is most magical.

Generally this will fall within the three hour window before sunset, but some locations (like the beach!), need to be scheduled closer to sunset than others. The best time of year for children with early bedtimes is September, when sunset is much earlier.

What about weather or illness, etc.?
Sessions are rescheduled due to inclement weather or illness. Additional dates are reserved in Rebecca's calendar for this reason.

What if I don't get a spot?
If sessions are filled for the current calendar year, you can ask to be put on a waitlist in case of any postponements, and given booking priority for the following year.
