– Vancouver Family Photographer: South Surrey –

This area and surrounding beach is the very sand I grew up playing in, and later driving to as a teen with friends in my first car. My first date with my husband was at a restaurant just around the corner (which is no longer in operation: My, doesn’t that make me feel old!) and he proposed whilst picnicking at a park just a skip away from here. So it truly is my old haunt, and Gillian’s as well, I believe! Crescent Beach is one of my very favourite places to photograph families in the Lower Mainland.

Gillian is a Vancouver designer and photographer– I admire her work very much, and was so delighted to be able to photograph her family of four. Their two little boys are just the sweetest, and I had the best time meeting them. We met a bit earlier in the evening than I usually prefer, but were gifted with some beautiful bright cloud cover, so could shoot anywhere we pleased.
